What Dr. Assini Brings

Dr. Assini is an experienced, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with deep expertise in hip and knee replacement, complex reconstruction, and orthopedic trauma. He is a recognized innovator — notably as a developer of the "AnteriorPATH" minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty technique. He is the designer of two femoral hip stems specifically designed for minimally invasive total hip surgery.

Dr. Assini utilizes technology whenever appropriate to optimize surgical outcomes. This includes the use of patient specific navigation and robotic assisted surgery, especially during total knee arthroplasty. He has lectured and taught fellow surgeons around the world.

He is passionate about rapid-recovery protocols and outpatient joint replacement. Over 85% of Dr. Assini's patients are discharged home the same day of their surgery.
